CHAPTER 01 · HOW IT STARTED
Built by a family. Backed by a valley.
When New York opened its adult-use market, we saw two ways to build a dispensary: the flashy way, or the neighborly way. We're from here, so the choice was easy. We opened our doors in Kingston Plaza in 2023 as a family operation — the people who greet you at the counter are the people whose name is on the license.
"Analog at heart" isn't a slogan we bought — it's how the shop runs. The record player's usually spinning, the recommendations come from people who've actually tried the products, and nobody's timing your visit. We stock what we love from Hudson Valley growers and makers, and we'd rather lose a sale than rush a conversation.
If you're nearby, stop in and see it for yourself — the mural, the record player, the whole analog thing. The plan hasn't changed since the ribbon came down.
CHAPTER 02 · HOW WE OPERATE
Four rules from the trailhead
We wrote these before we opened the doors. We haven't broken one yet.
Curated, not crowded.
We'd rather stock fifty things we can vouch for than five hundred we can't. Every jar on the shelf is lab-tested, hand-picked, and heavy on Hudson Valley growers we know by name.
Fair prices, every day.
The tag is the tag — no "was/now" theater, no checkout surprises. What you see on the shelf is what you pay at the counter.
Conversations before carts.
First visit or five-hundredth, you get the same thing: straight answers, zero judgment, no upsell. If you're new, start with our plain-English field guide — then come argue with us about records.
Community over everything.
A shop that shows up for Kingston. We're not backed by a multi-state operator — we're backed by the people who keep walking in the door.
CHAPTER 03 · WHAT WE DON'T DO
Sometimes "no" is the product.
No mystery product.
Everything is NY-licensed, lab-tested and traceable. Ask for the COA on anything — we'll pull it up happily.
No hard sell.
Nobody works on commission here. The right pick for you is the win — even when it's the cheaper jar.
No jargon walls.
Terpenes explained like a neighbor would, not a chemistry final. No question is too basic — see the field guide.
No big-corp playbook.
We're not a chain with a logo. Decisions get made at the counter, by the family, for Kingston.
No neon-green clichés.
A dispensary can be warm, sunny and analog. Ours looks like the Catskills, because that's where it lives.
No rushed goodbyes.
Stay for the record, ask another question, pet the idea of a shop dog. You leave when you're ready.
CHAPTER 04 · THE COUNTER CREW
Meet us at the counter.
When you walk in you get a person — not a kiosk, not a script. Our budtenders are Hudson Valley folks who know every jar on the shelf because they helped pick it.
"What's fresh from the valley this week?" — always a good opener.
"I'm brand new — where do I start?" — our favorite question in the building.
"What's spinning?" — fair warning, this one costs you twenty minutes.
CHAPTER 05 · THE GROWERS WE POUR FOR
